CI Motorhomes back to Sales back to manufacturers

Caravans International (CI) have been a major player in producing motorhomes across Europe for a number of years. Catering to all tastes and preferences, CI motorhomes offer a range to suit both the first time and experienced buyer.

The introduction of the 665G to the best-selling Carioca range is the big news for 2006. Built on the popular Fiat Ducato maxi-chassis with the power of 2.8l turbo diesel engine, it offers family accommodation with the convenience of spacious rear storage under a fixed rear bed for the safe carriage of bulky items, essential for leisure pursuits.

The 2006 range of CI Motorhomes, specifically developed for the UK market, brings with it a whole new generation of refreshing new ideas, concepts and designs, all of which are aimed to satisfy everyone’s needs and budgets. It’s no surprise that the new range of CI Motorhomes continue to be regarded by many as Britain’s best value for money motorhomes.

All vehicles in the range have lounge areas brightened by the addition of midi-Heki panoramic rooflights and cabs warmed up by automotive-style cab carpets. All, except the 644, benefit from a mini-oven/grill to compliment the spark-ignition four-burner hob. The improvements don't end there with a new look interior achieved by attractive new soft furnishings in 'Trento' multi-tone blue and warm 'Atlantic Cherry' furniture veneer.

Externally all models have high-gloss GRP side-walls and rears which resist knocks and scratches which so easily damage aluminium and the 2006 graphics and decals ensure that the range stands out from the crowd.

Perhaps the most important addition is the provision in all double-dinette models of rear-facing lap-belts and head-restraints which mean that all models, except 625, offer seat-belted travel to cover the designated sleeping capacity.

Other standard features which we now take for granted include durable vinyl flooring, outside storage hatch, separate shower compartment with bi-fold door and blown-air heating.

The Carioca range has a reputation for offering a complete motorhome at an attractive price and the improvements for 2006 will ensure that it stays ahead of its class.

• Cusona click to view full spec
Successfully launched at NEC Show in February 2005, demand for the new Cusona meant that very few were available for sale during the rest of the season.

Unsurprisingly, changes for the 2006 season are kept to the minimum with only the exterior graphics and decals and interior furniture colour being redesigned on the new model.

Built to full U.K. specification the Cusona still offers the best value in coachbuilt motorhomes available in this country. Durable GRP fully-insulated side-walls and rears with entry doors on the nearside provide an attractive first impression.

The Cusona does not disappoint internally with 'Ancona' bedding designed to co-ordinate with the cab-seats, 'Atlantic Cherry' furniture and easy clean vinyl flooring all combining to present a convivial living area. Sleeping can be on individual beds or an easily-made huge double bed and there is always the spacious overcab double bed offering excellent additional storage.

The practicalities are catered for in the kitchen with a three-burner hob and mini-oven/grill, large washroom with dedicated shower area and a 3kw heater.

The 2006 Cusona will remain high on the shopping list of those looking for a value for money entry-level motorhome.

The range of two popular layouts enjoys a new-look exterior with eye-catching graphics and decals, alloy wheels and low-level driving lights combining to make the Rivieras such distinctive motorhomes.

Standard features in Riviera include durable GRP side-walls and rear, fully equipped kitchens with full ovens and cooker hoods, loose-fit carpets over vinyl, blown-air heating and washrooms with separate showers with bi-fold doors.

The 181 becomes a true family six-berth with the addition of seat-belts and head-restraints to the rear-facing dinette.

Both built on Fiat Ducato maxi-chassis with 2.8l turbo diesel power, the Rivieras offer heavyweight specification in a total package that meets the demands of today's purchasers.

• Cipro F series click to view full spec
For 2006, the low-profile Cipro is introduced onto the low-line Fiat Ducato chassis with the powerful 2.8l turbo diesel engine. An impressive exterior is achieved with eye-catching graphics, alloy wheels, colour co-ordinating body skirts and bumper with low-level driving lights complimenting the sleek GRP body. The Seitz exterior door features an opening window with its own nightblind and flyscreen and an in-built waste bin.

Internally, a smart new furniture design in 'European Cherry' is featured and blends perfectly with the new design soft furnishings in complimentary 'Rosa' materials. The provision of a slide-out bracket to carry one of the new flat-screen TVs is another example of the contemporary thinking behind this interior design. A very modern kitchen is the result of using glazed panels in the high-level units and a slim stainless steel cooker hood over the four-burner hob and grill. The bowed front large fridge comes with a separate freezer which have a combined capacity of 150 litres and above these is an eye-level oven which has a matching bowed front.

The spacious washroom has a separate shower with low and high-level storage within the stylish cupboards. In addition, heating on the move is supplied by a supplementary heater which is situated in the lounge area and is powered by the cab heating system.

All in all, the Fiat Cipro 55 will appeal to the modern family in pursuit of their holiday dreams.
